so much better than exams

it may be true, we may have been watching a different graduate in a black gown with a gold sash, blonde hair, and black heels, but in our defense, there were a few possible candidates to choose from. nonetheless, we managed to pick out the right graduate just as her name was called! and what better way to celebrate than fondue.

things you don't want to see the week before exams but better now than during an exam?!

first, we had the mac blue screen of death. you restart your computer and it never goes any further than this:
then we try the archive and install option, which should have saved my settings, docs, etc. this is what i got:
fortunately, i only lost a few days of notes, a handful of pictures and one downloaded album. i have a sneaky suspicion as to the culprit as well ... let's just say microsoft and mac don't always mix (plus a little user error, i'm sure).

after class tonight, the campus looked almost serene

ok, it's not really that much snow - this is the last of the leaves raked from 2+ yards and that's not a real snowman, but for a minute there ...

buddy loves the snow and was so excited to run around in the backyard that he almost forgot he's scared of the dark. he did not, however, forget that he's scared of cameras and camera phones.

you can tell right off the bat.

it's a tiny, charlie-brown-esque, fake tree, fresh out of the box.

petra waited about 30 seconds before trying to eat the tree.

i'm a little worried about putting ornaments on it now.
